Strawberry Tea The Fair-Trade Council are organising a Strawberry Tea in aid of Breast Cancer next Thursday, 13 June from 2.30pm – 4pm. It will be held in the dining room. Please come along and support this worthy cause.

Year 6 Summer Extravaganza As in previous years, the children from Year 6 are holding games stalls and refreshments next Thursday, 13 June from 1.45pm – 4pm. The money raised will go into funds to help subsidise the Robinwood Trip.

All children in school will be able to come and play the games in the afternoon – please send children with small change. Parents are welcome after school as this will be at the same time as the Strawberry Tea.

Summer Fair This year’s Summer Fair will be held on Friday 5th July.

Bike-It Don’t forget Bike-It Thursdays. Children will also receive a raffle ticket for any day they come on their bike or scooter and there will be a raffle at the end of the year for a new bicycle.

Dinner Money Lunches are now £1.85 per day - £9.25 per week. Please send money on a Monday morning, in an envelope with your child’s name and class on.

If anyone has any brown or green wool (any shades), Mrs Taylor would really appreciate them for her knitting project. Thank you.

Sun Cream Please remember to put sun cream on your children before they come to school.

Year 3/4 Trip to Tatton Park All slips and money for this Trip need to in by next Thursday, 13 June at the latest. Thank you.

Music Lessons Fees for this half term are now due - £19.95. Thank you.

Cooking Sessions On Thursday we are starting cookery sessions for men and their children from 3.30-5pm. This could be Dads, Grandads or Uncles. School has secured some health lottery money for these sessions. If you are interested, please give your name into the school office as soon as possible.

Martial Arts We have 50 tickets to watch a Martial Arts Competition and Showcase on 18th June 3.45pm-6pm at Matthew Moss. Some of our past pupils and two of our present pupils, Tyler Lord and Ravish Morar, are taking part. If you are interested, tickets are now available from the school office and are £2.00 each. Parents will need to take their children.

Recycle Week We are taking part in Recycle Week from 17 June – 5 July. We are collecting unwanted small electrical items and you will get a chance to win £200 worth of shopping vouchers. The school who collects the most items will win £500. There is a leaflet on the back of the newsletter with information of which items we will be collecting. More details to follow next week.

Fun Swims All classes will be going on fun swims throughout this half term. Children will be receiving letters just before their class will be attending. The cost will be £1.50.

Swimming Galas The league galas started on Monday. Our swimmers did really well. There are two more to follow on the next two Mondays.

There will be NO swimming training this Friday due to Inter-league gala heats which are taking place this Friday at Castleton Baths at 9.30am.
