Many thanks to all the learners who joined us on our Edinburgh and Barcelona Visits. A great time was enjoyed on both educational trips and learners have returned with many great memories. For those learners who haven't already done so, can students who attended the Edinburgh Visit please complete the short feedback survey via their school email account. Many thanks for your help in advance.

Year 9 and 10 learners have been issued with Parents Evening Letters for the 26th of June from 3.15pm until 6.15pm. Please ensure that your child organises his or her appointments so that you may see the appropriate staff. For any questions about the evening, please contact Ms. Barlow.

Learners from all years have the opportunity to take part in a new CEPA competition. The 'Big CEPA Wordsearch' is a massive puzzle with the opportunity to win some great prizes for those with the stamina to locate all the words. For a copy of the puzzle, please visit the CEPA office at breaktimes or lunchtimes.

Rehearsals are now underway for the 'Furi: A Viking Story' drama which takes place on Thursday 11th of July at 7pm. Tickets are available directly from school, priced £3.00 (no concs.). Tickets are available in advance only. They can be purchased from the CEPA office at breaktimes or lunchtimes.

The latest edition of our 'Create!' Termly Arts Newsletter has now been issued to each tutor group and friends of the school. The latest edition can also be downloaded from our school website. This edition is a 16 page bumper copy since we celebrate the 25th edition anniversary. For more details, contact Mr De Courcey.

BTEC Year 10 and 11 Practical Drama Assessments should now be complete. If learners have any outstanding work they should contact their Drama teacher as soon as possible.

This week we welcome BAE Systems into school as they perform a special roadshow performance to Year 7 learners and follow it with a short workshop. For more details contact Mr De Courcey or Mr Jones.

Year 7 CALL learners should now be well underway with their 'New Ghosts' work which will shortly lead to a showcase event. Letters will be issued in the next two weeks inviting parents and families to join in the celebration of our learner work. We look forward to seeing the creative products of our Year 7 students.

Awards Evening takes place at Rochdale Town Hall on Tuesday 11 of June. Learners involved in the evening should have been issued with letters and invitations. Given the large numbers of students involved in such an evening, we appreciate a prompt response to invitation letters. For any further enquiries, please contact Ms. Skerrow or Ms. Barlow.
