Thirty Hopwood Hall College staff took part in the Bupa Manchester 10k run to raise money for their chosen charity, Springhill Hospice.
The group, involving the entire College Executive Team, had been training hard over the last few months, including weekly group training sessions, in order to make sure they were in top shape for the race. They expect to raise £3,000 by the time all sponsorship money is in.
Deputy Principal, John Spindler explained: “We had a great day running for Springhill Hospice and getting fit too.
"We had 30 staff of all ages and abilities take part and they all loved the day.
"The College was delighted to get sponsorship from many colleagues, family and friends as well as from fantastic business sponsorship from Lloyds Bank and RSM Tenon.
“This charity run is now definitely part of the College’s annual calendar. We can’t wait for next year.”
