Rochdale Armed Forces Champion Alan McCarthy honorary member of the Aden Veterans Associiation
As the Rochdale Armed Forces Champion, Councillor Alan McCarthy was recently made an honorary member of the Aden Veterans Association by Vice Chairman of the Aden Veterans, Harry Mills.
The Aden Veterans cited the "excellent work done by Rochdale Council in support of our Armed Services past and present".
Whether currently in the Armed Forces or leaving the armed forces advice is often needed on issues including health, education, housing, training and jobs - Rochdale Council says it is committed to working with and supporting our Armed Forces personnel.
Councillor McCarthy said: "As the Council's lead representative for the Armed Forces I carry out my role with a passion and really want to make a difference if I can."
