Man charged after offensive comments posted on Facebook

A Middleton man has been charged after offensive comments were posted on Facebook.

Dave Lee (born 19/12/64), of Ullswater Drive,  has been charged with improper use of public communications (under Section 127 of the Communications Act).

During the evening of Thursday 23 May 2013, police received a report of a racist comment being made on Facebook. A short time later a man was arrested.

He appeared before Bury Magistrates' Court on Saturday 25 May.
