Hollingworth BEC first Art exhibition

Date published: 22 May 2013

On the 6 June we will be hosting our very first Art exhibition.

The event, which will take place in the LRC between 5-7pm, is a celebration of current Year 11 work from across the Arts, including Art & Design, Graphic Communication and Textile Design.

This will be an opportunity for pupils to showcase their work and there will be chance for the public to purchase prints of their favourite pieces. We would like to invite people from the local area to attend this very special occasion, past and present pupils and members of staff alike. Due to the delicate nature of the work on display, we would kindly ask that all children are supervised by an adult.

Calling Year 11 GCSE History students! Do you want to bump up your grade in exams?Do you want to reach your aspirational potential? Then come to the session: “How to Perform Well in Exams”. Mrs Burke (examiner for 14 years) is holding this session EVERY MONDAY after school in room 230. Please attend.

All pupils in year 8 & 9 MUST have an apron for each food technology practical lesson. It is very important to be prepared for all practical lessons and part of this is to have an apron. Pupils can still buy aprons from the Food Technology Department for £5 or bring one from home.

Maths club and Chess club will now continue after the half term holidays. Thanks for your continued commitment. Miss. Stelfox, Miss. Lewis and Mr Livesey
