Year 8 pupil at Schools’ Chess Championship

Date published: 21 May 2013

A massive congratulations to Owain Harrison in Year 8 who has qualified from the North West Finals of the Schools’ Chess Championship to represent Oulder Hill in the Northern Finals in Manchester. Well done Owain – we look forward to seeing how you get on.

On Thursday 16 May Year 9 were lucky enough to have a visit from the Bolton Octagon Theatre Group who performed an excellent play about Mental Well Being. The students behaved in an exemplary manner, as always and then afterwards each form had two workshops in their form rooms. On speaking to some of the students later they were very impressed with the play and found the workshops very thought provoking.
