Siddal Moor Battle of the Performing Houses
Date published: 14 May 2013
A packed Heywood Civic Hall saw the annual Battle of the Performing Houses Event.
Each Year students from all year groups show off their talents in this showcase spectacular.
Auditions are held a few weeks before the big night and House Co-Ordinators vote on which of the acts go into the final.
This year’s selection was made all the more difficult because of the exceptional talent on offer.
Contestants this year included Singer/Song writers; rappers, dance acts and even a PJ and Duncan tribute Act. Rehearsals for the final are held after school as the students prepare for this event.
Students, staff and parents attended the evening which was as usual, well attended.
A thoroughly enjoyable evening was had by all and the Headteacher of Siddal Moor Steve Britton commented on what a show the students had put on again and that they should be very proud of themselves and their achievements.
All the Monies raised will go to this year’s school charity which is Believe in Magic.
