A Big Thank You to All the children who entered the poetry competition, you should all have received a prize by now. Some of the poems are on display in the library on our writing tree – please come and see them.

Library

We have almost finished our library upgrade and hope you like what we have done. The children particularly enjoy the story chair and rugs to sit and read on. Please do come and have a look around and continue to encourage your children to choose a library book.

Book Fair

We are holding a Book Fair between Tuesday, 4 June and Thursday, 6 June 2013. Bright Books will be selling books to parents in the School Hall between 3.15pm and 3.45pm on the 4, 5 and 6 June. All books will be priced between £1.00 and £4.00 so grab yourself a bargain!

We understand that this time is inconvenient for our morning nursery parents, therefore on the 5 and 6 June books will again be on sale in the school hall between 11.40 am and 12 noon.

If you wish to pay for books by cheque – these will need to be made payable to ‘Bright Books’. This is a school fundraiser – any funds raised will be used to buy books for our new school library.

Messages Regarding Arrangements For The End Of The School Day

Please be aware we are being inundated with messages to inform children to go into Tea Time Club every afternoon which means that teachers constantly have to stop teaching the children to pass these messages on. This is interrupting your child’s learning. If your child is in Unit 1 they will automatically be taken to Tea Time Club if you have not arrived to collect at 3.15 p.m. All other children will be put into Tea Time Club if parents have not arrived by 3.30 p.m.

Holiday

Can I remind you that school closes on Friday, 24 May at 3.15 p.m. for the Whitsun holiday week and re-opens on Monday, 3 June 2013.
