Hamer Community Primary School

Date published: 11 May 2013

The school currently has two Community Governor vacancies. Paperwork and forms will be being sent out next week. In the meantime, if any further information is needed please do not hesitate to come into school and speak to Miss Shepherd.

The week commencing 13 May the Year 6 children will be sitting their SAT’s test. It is absolutely vital that every child is on time and in school every day. Please ensure your child also gets plenty of sleep! The Year 6 children have been provided with many additional learning opportunities to boost their learning and, along with the staff have worked extremely hard. Please support us to ensure they do the very best they can next week. Thank you.

On Sunday 12 May, Miss Nicholson’s Year 2 Class will be performing at the Town Hall alongside other schools to celebrate their success. The children taking part need to arrive at school at 1.00pm. and will need collecting from school again at 5.15pm. Please ensure children are in school uniform. Thank you to all Parents & Governors who have volunteered to come along and support us.

On Friday afternoon staff and children from Nursery and Reception enjoyed a fabulous trip to see “Someone’s Moving”. Thank you to the M6 for inviting us along and allowing our children to continue their learning experience outside the classroom.

Please note there will be no more Booster Classes for Year 6 from now on. We want to thank all parents for their support and your children for actively and enthusiastically attending these sessions. They truly have been partners in their own learning. Thank you
