NHS Heywood, Middleton and Rochdale Clinical Commissioning Group’s (HMRCCG) Governing Body is meeting on Friday 17 May and the public is invited to attend.

The monthly governing body meetings are where official business is discussed and formal decisions are made about everything from policies to which health services will be commissioned.

Public questions are welcome and can either be submitted through the website (www.hmr.nhs.uk, under ‘about us’, then ‘governing body meetings’) or asked during the open questions slot at beginning of the meeting.

The next meeting takes place on Friday 17 May, 10.30am-1pm, in room Hollingworth C, Number One Riverside, Smith Street, Rochdale, OL16 1XU.

This month will see the introduction of a half-hour public engagement session before the meeting where people can discuss any questions or concerns directly with HMRCCG’s engagement manager. The session will begin at 10am. Please report to reception on arrival at Number One Riverside.

Dr Chris Duffy, local GP and Chairman of NHS HMRCCG, said: “As an accountable NHS organisation, we have a duty to make sure what we do and how we make our decisions is accessible to the people of Rochdale. After all, it’s your health services we are planning.

“We had a great turn out at the last meeting and I would encourage anyone who would like to find out more about what the clinical commissioning group is about and how decisions are made to attend one of our meetings. We welcome the opportunity to answer public questions, so please do let us know if there’s anything you would like us to help you with.”
