From 1am through until 3pm on Sunday 12 May, contractors will be undertaking adjustments to the overhead power lines for the Rochdale town centre Metrolink extension. This work will be localised along Maclure Road.
The work will involve small teams of workers using a rail mounted elevated working platforms, hand tools and localised temporary lighting equipment.
Measures will be in place to reduce noise and disruption caused by these works, particularly near to residential properties along the alignment.
These overnight works have been discussed with and approved by your local authority.
Due to the location of these works, they can only be safely undertaken during engineering hours when no trams are running to and from the adjacent Rochdale Railway Station stop.
