The Year 8 football team competed in the Rochdale Schools 6-a-side tournament.

All the players involved played exceptionally well throughout the tournament and were a credit to Oulder Hill School.

Unfortunately, they failed to qualify for the semi-finals of the competition having drawn 2 games against Hollingworth and St. Cuthberts and narrowly losing to Falinge and Middleton Tech.

The players involved were: Cameron Filkin, Jamie Ogden, Daniel Cryer, Owen Harrison, Brandon Coughlan, Will Taylor, Steven Nairn and Brandon Kwai Sutcliffe.

GCSE exams start this Monday (13 May). Our students have been working hard in preparation for their exams, and we hope all their hard work shows in their final results.

Years 7, 8 and 9 will also be undertaking their own Exam Week from Monday until Wednesday. This is in preparation for exams in their future school years.

Years 7 and 10 played their first Rounders League matches last week. Unfortunately both teams lost but they tried their best and really enjoyed their matches.

Well done to:

Year 7: Frankie Bogusz, Hannah Mills, Maryam Manzoor, Aysha Jamil, Zoya Gill, Zara Bradley-Ahmed,
Lauren Saville, Jessica Connor, Grace Chantry, Dana Quigly, Lucy Perrin and Lydia Entwistle.

Year 10: Amy Stocker, Ella Storto, Ellie Jones, Emily Sneddon, Anna Wilkinson, Erica Brown, Aleena Ali, Mio Griffiths, Amicia Fidalga and Mollie Quinn.

Parent Forum will be taking place on Thursday 16 May at 6:00pm in the school’s LRC.
