St John’s RC Primary School
St. John’s parishioners visit the school
On Friday 26 April, Parishioners of St. John’s and grandparents of school children were invited to the school. Our children entertained them with songs and offered them refreshments before giving them a tour of the school. A very enjoyable afternoon was had by all involved and we would like to make this a regular event.
Big Maths sessions
Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday of this week saw the introduction of the Big Maths sessions for parents and children.
Parents were invited to workshops in the school hall to bring an awareness of the levels of expectation for each stage of their child’s development and help parents to support their children in an easy, fun way.
E-safety lessons
E-safety lessons were given to key stage 2 children on Tuesday. The purpose of the lessons, presented by David Brookes, RMBC, was to make children aware of the dangers of revealing information, no matter how trivial they may seem, on social networks.
