Kingsway addition to Middleton Local Link
Date published: 06 May 2013
The door-to-door Middleton Local Link has been extended to serve Kingsway Business Park on a trial basis until July.
Journeys to and from the business park can now be booked from 5am – 7am, 1pm – 3pm, 5pm – 7pm and 9pm – 10.45pm.
The Local Link is a daily service throughout Middleton and can even pick and drop off people from their homes if they live on the scheduled route.
Councillor Andrew Fender, Chairman of the Transport for Greater Manchester (TfGM) Committee, said: “This trial extension to serve Kingsway Business Park has been introduced in response to local requests.
“This service complements the recently introduced Local Links from Rochdale and Heywood to Kingsway Business Park and connects local people to jobs.
“The extension will be assessed at the end of the trial with a view to making it permanent if successful.”
Full details of the Middleton Local Link can be found at www.tfgm.com/Corporate/Documents/LocalLink/Middleton.pdf.
