Pleasant Bank Holiday weekend

Date published: 03 May 2013

Met Office forecasters are expecting pleasant weather for many over the Bank Holiday weekend, with a good deal of dry weather and some sunshine at times.

Saturday may start cloudy but this should clear away during the morning to leave a fine day with some sunshine and temperatures in the mid teens.

This mainly fine weather should continue for Sunday and Monday. Sunny spells should develop after rather cloudy and misty dawns.

Will Lang, Chief Forecaster at the Met Office said: “It looks as though much of the UK will enjoy some pleasant spring weather this weekend. Northern parts of UK look set to have some rather changeable conditions, but there will be some bright and dry spells to enjoy.”

An improvement in the weather over the bank holiday should inspire people to get out and about and make the most of the long weekend.
