Students' trip to Germany

Date published: 29 April 2013

A group of A Level students from Rochdale Sixth Form College took to the continent to further their studies over Easter.

20 AS Level German, History and Politics students visited Berlin to learn about the city’s rich history and flex their language skills.

The itinerary was extensive with the group visiting world famous historical sites such as the Brandenburg Gate, Reichstag, Soviet War memorial, Hitler’s bunker and the Berlin Wall.

Sophie Grossova, German Teacher at Rochdale Sixth Form College, comments: “The trip to Berlin was a fantastic experience for the students involved.

"As a city which is steeped in history, the students learnt a lot about the culture of Germany. The students thoroughly enjoyed themselves and have been able to see first-hand things they have been learning about in class, which will stand them in much better stead when it comes to their A Level exams.”
