Mistreatment alleged at Norden care home

Eight members of staff at a care home have been suspended amid an allegation a resident was mistreated.
Police are investigating the incident which is alleged to have taken place at Scott House in Norden on 11 April.
The home, on Furbarn Lane, cares for about 20 people with mental health and learning disabilities.
The Calderstones Partnership NHS Foundation Trust said the Care Quality Commission (CQC) had been informed.
Chief executive David Young said: "We were extremely concerned to learn of the allegations made about services at Scott House.
"The wellbeing of our service users is our first priority and a thorough investigation has already begun; staff have been suspended and the CQC informed.
"The trust will not tolerate anything that compromises service-user safety. We will get to the bottom of this and act decisively on the results of the investigation."
A spokesman for Greater Manchester Police said: "We are in the early stages of the investigation and are working with Rochdale Council adult services who are supporting our investigation."
