Healey Foundation Primary School

Very well done to the Athletics Team who put in an amazing performance on Monday after school, all six of the girls team were placed in the top ten with first, second and third places. Ms McGuinness and Mr Armstrong prepared the team well and their efforts paid off.

This term netball and football are being replaced by rounders and cricket. The staff are in the final stages of drawing up the after school timetable and as soon as it is ready it will be uploaded onto the website and shared with children. We are hoping to restart the Cycling Club too as soon as the weather conditions improve. Children who want to access the Cycling Club must have a good helmet and bike lock and should have completed the Bikeability Course to Level 2 at least.

On Monday Years 3 and 5 are having Road Safety training. This will take place in the school grounds.

Reminder about the Rotary Boxes. We haven’t had orders for very many and would like to make this a very good effort this year. Please help if you can.

The PTA would like to hold a non uniform day on the Friday before the May Day holiday, they are keen to raise money to contribute towards the defibrillator. Children should have brought home a note about this.

Well done to the children who were presented with the Achievement Award last Friday:
Reception: Poppy Parker
Year 1: Daisy Watson
Year 2: Cole Doolin
Year 3: Nathan Ashurst
Year 4: Sophie Brook
Year 5: Ethan Mew
Year 6: Millie Hughes

Overall school attendance was quite low at 96%, we still have lots of chicken pox around.
