The winners of the Citizens of the week for week ending 19 April are Mrs Nicholson’s class for an excellent class assembly full of information about the circus and also for a beautiful song.

In addition to the Year 6 Monday night booster class, two additional sessions have now been put in place on Wednesday and Thursday morning at 8.20am all Year 6 children are strongly encouraged to come and access additional teaching and learning opportunities. It has been fantastic that all Year 6 children have attended this week!

In response to our recent Governors meetings and feedback from parents/carers, please look out for more Maths based learning tasks in your child’s Learning Log. In addition, as a school we are also developing a more formal homework timetable and sourcing appropriate resources and homework books. Please support us by ensuring that your child is given time to complete any learning tasks set.

Earlier this week the children in the foundation stage enjoyed a day exploring patterns. All the children looked incredible in their pattered clothes and the quality of their literacy and numeracy work was superb!

Congratulations to Miss Nicholson’s class following their performance at the recent Rochdale Music Festival they have now been invited to perform in a Celebration Concert at Rochdale Town Hall on Sunday 12 May. We are very proud of all the children involved.
