Find out more about healthcare

Date published: 18 April 2013

NHS Heywood, Middleton and Rochdale Clinical Commissioning Group’s (HMR CCG) Governing Body is meeting and the public is invited to attend.

The monthly governing body meetings are where official business is discussed and formal decisions are made about everything from policies to which health services will be commissioned.

Public questions are welcome and can either be submitted through the website (www.hmrccg.nhs.uk, under ‘about us’, then ‘governing body meetings’) or asked during the open questions slot at beginning of the meeting.

Dr Chris Duffy, local GP and Chair of NHS HMR CCG, said: “As an accountable NHS organisation, we have a duty to make sure what we do and how we make our decisions is accessible to the people of Rochdale. After all, it’s your health services we are planning.

“I would encourage anyone who would like to find out more about what the clinical commissioning group is about and how decisions are made to attend one of our meetings. We welcome the opportunity to answer public questions, so please do let us know if there’s anything you would like us to help you with.”

To help ensure decisions made at the meeting are accessible to local people, we will be tweeting live from future governing body meetings, starting from 26 April. Follow us on www.twitter.com/NHSHMR.

The agenda and papers for the meeting will be available on the ‘about us’ section of our website www.hmr.nhs.uk in advance of the meeting.

The next meeting takes place on Friday 26 April, 10.15-11.30am, in room Hollingworth C, Number One Riverside, Smith Street, Rochdale, OL16 1XU.
