A Crafty Spring at Matthew Moss

Date published: 16 April 2013

The learners taking part in Craft Club this term have been enjoying making some spectacular springtime products for themselves and their loved ones.

Mother’s Day week saw a great turnout of learners in the school’s new MakerSpace area, making personalised daffodil planters for the special lady in their life! Other products included felt flowers and brooches, picture prints, fridge magnets, and beaded jewellery.

Learner Aqsa Ghafoor took part in the Mother’s Day special and said: "I really enjoyed making the flower pot on Mother’s Day and it was really nice to be able to take it home and give it to my mum as a present."

The MakerSpace, which was installed at the beginning of the year to support learners in Project Based Learning, is growing from strength to strength and encouraging learners to develop their making skills and creative ideas.
