Rochdale Fairtrade Forum needs support

Fairtrade Foundation
Rochdale Fairtrade Forum is supporting a major new campaign – Make Food Fair - and they are asking for your help.
A spokesperson said: "Smallholder farmers produce the majority of the world’s food, but they also make up half of the world’s hungriest people. It’s not fair, but you can help change this – and the G8 summit this June is our first major chance. Food and hunger top the agenda for these global decision makers, and they have the power to change the lives of millions of smallholders for the better.
"To make sure they do this we need to show them the overwhelming public pressure that exists for them to act now to fix our broken food system. We urgently need your help to do this.
"Thousands have signed our petition asking David Cameron to go further for smallholders and champion a better deal for them at the G8 summit, but we need thousands more to add their name before we hand the petition to him just before World Fair Trade Day (Saturday 11 May). It’s just three weeks away.
"We need to act now if we want to succeed."
