Environmental Action Group asking for larger bins

Date published: 15 April 2013

Rochdale Environmental Action Group is asking for larger bins and enforcement of the Litter Act and Environment laws in the borough.

The group is working to establish a network of groups in the borough to "share their knowledge and expertise to improve the environment of the borough of Rochdale".

A spokesman said: "We need support from everyone in the borough and particularly from residents and businesses, because unless they take responsibility we cannot achieve our objective of an improved environment in the Borough of Rochdale. If they take responsibility around their homes and business, it will make a great difference."
