Date published: 04 April 2013

At about 7.30pm on Friday 8 March 2013, police were called to an address on Smithy Bridge Road in Rochdale to reports of a collision between a car and a pedestrian.

About half an hour prior to the report the driver of a black car dropped a 12-year-old boy at home following the earlier collision on Smithy Bridge Road at the junction of Brown Lodge Street.

He was taken to hospital and was kept in overnight for observations. He received treatment for minor facial injuries.

Police Constable Karl Veale from Chadderton Road Policing Unit, said: “The driver of the car stopped at the scene of the collision and dropped the young boy back at his home address on Smithy Bridge Road, but did not leave any contact details.

“I would urge the driver of the black car involved in the collision to contact me on 0161 856 8472 and update her details.”
