Rossendale and Pendle Mountain Rescue Team have experienced their busiest period of 2013 due to the adverse weather that has hit the North West over the last few days, including an incident on Rooley Moor Road.
On Monday 25 March 2013, two vehicles were deployed to Rooley Moor Road, where an ambulance was struggling to access a 70-year-old man who was suffering from hypothermia.
During this period, the team has had, on average, three team members and vehicles deployed at night and eight in the day time with numbers increased for specific callouts. A spokesman said: "We would like to thank the public for their support over this period."
