Image of woman wanted in connection with theft
Police have issued the image of a woman wanted in connection with a theft of a mobile phone in Rochdale.
The victim was paying for items of clothing at the counter of TK Maxx, The Point Retail Park, Molesworth Street before she left, accidentally leaving her mobile phone, on 3 December 2012.
Another woman who was behind her in the queue saw she had left her iPhone and approached the counter. She paid for clothing and put the phone in her handbag before walking off.
Detective Sergeant Julie Adams from Rochdale INPT said: “The woman blatantly saw the victim had left her mobile phone and instead of doing the right thing and tell her, she decided to steal it.
“I am keen to hear from anyone who may recognise the woman in the image. If you do, please phone 0161 856 9961 or the independent charity Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.”
