Hamer Community Primary School

Date published: 22 March 2013

The winners of the Citizens of the week for week ending Friday 22 March are all the Hamer Children Music Festival Representatives for a fantastic contribution at the Rochdale Music Festival and for being a credit to school and themselves. Well Done.

On Monday afternoon, many parents came in to the Foundation Unit to look at how the children are learning Maths. It was lovely to see so many of you sharing the learning experience with your children.

The Pupil Progress meetings have been held in school this week following the Spring Testing which occurred week commencing 11 March. The outcomes are giving a very positive picture of the progress and learning which is happening across the school.

Next week the parent consultations will be happening throughout school. Information on dates and times will have been sent home this week from individual class teachers. If parents have any queries please speak to your child’s teacher.

The children nominated by the lunchtime staff for achievements at lunchtime went on a reward trip on Friday to Pizza Hut. This is a fantastic opportunity to reward our children and for them to experience this in a different social setting where their good manners and helpful attitudes can be put into action as they represent our school.
