Rochdale Environmental Action Group have cleaned up the car park on the junction of Milkstone Road and Henry Street. They also cut the bushes and weeds growing on the edges.
Marney Malik from Luton, who was visiting the family, also joined the group, she said: I enjoyed it and would like all residents and businesses to take responsibility for their own area and Rochdale will be clean and green in a month's time."
Next Saturday, 23 March, the group will join the Joint Clean Up with the Rochdale Council staff from the Environment Management, Councillors Terry Linden, Mohammad Zaman and Shah Wazir in Pullman Street, Pomona Street, Pike Street and Penrith Street, Deeplish.
Rochdale Environmental Action Group (REAG) has asked the residents to keep their old unused furniture ready for recycling and also urged them to come out and join REAG to clean and improve the environment in their own area.
