Cakes and Basketball to raise funds for Comic Relief

In order to raise funds for Comic Relief, Year 11 organised a cake competition on Friday 15 March. There were 3 categories: large cakes, buns or cupcakes and biscuits.
The winners were:
Seniors
- large cakes – Bethan Sowerby
- buns or cupcakes – Raeesah Shahid
- biscuits – Molly Corrigan
Prep
- large cakes – Christopher Kershaw
- buns or cupcakes – Milly Cooper
- biscuits – Grace Prime
The overall winner with her carrot cake was Milly Cooper. The cakes were sold to hungry pupils and staff after the judging.
In addition the Year 11 boys challenged the staff to a basketball match, cheered on by the other pupils.
The staff lost 4 : 14 in a highly competitive game.
To the defense of the staff, last year the boys were fourth in the National Independent Schools Festival of Sport. In all pupils raised £250.
