Smiles, giggles, shimmys and shakes - to raise money
Date published: 11 March 2013
St Aidan's Church Hall welcomed over 40 participants for a fun afternoon of the Latin and International influenced upbeat music and dance styles, otherwise known as Zumba, for a two hour fund raiser.
Laura Nugent from nudge lead the Zumba Party routines with help from another local, experienced instructor, Taira Booth. Together they Zumba-ed away for a two full hours!
The fundraising event raised almost £300 to go towards church repairs on the clock tower, which has recently suffered damage.
Laura said: "Ladies and gents of all ages were doing their Zumba best to support the event. Smiles, giggles, shimmys and shakes were in abundance, it was an all round fantastic fundraiser and enjoyed by all."
