On Saturday 9 March members of the Rochdale Environmental Action Group had a clean up to remove heavy unused furniture, rubbish and litter both on and in the back alleys of Ashfield Road and Osborne Street in Deeplish area.
Residents and shopkeepers were informed in advance about the clean up. They responded positively and brought their unused furniture, etc. near the all gates and helped the team in their clean up.
The clean up will be repeated in a fortnight in other streets of Deeplish area and the residents and shopkeepers will be informed in writing about the day, date and time of the clean up to enable them to be part of the clean up.
