One number one call

Date published: 11 March 2013

In 2012 Rochdale Boroughwide Housing (RBH) made a series of commitments to their tenants.

One of those commitments was to introduce a Freephone number for repairs. However, RBH is not stopping at this and has gone one step further by providing a Freephone number for all calls.

RBH can now be contacted on the new Freephone number: 0800 027 7769.

Unfortunately a Freephone number can’t be provided for mobile users so RBH has also introduced a local rate number (01706) 27 4100 as a cheaper alternative.

You can now contact RBH on the Freephone number to report repairs, speak to a Neighbourhood Housing Officer, pay your rent, get advice about welfare reform and managing debt and find out about improvements to your home.

You can also use this number if you are interested in becoming an RBH tenant.

Lynne Brosnan, Chair of RBH’s Shadow Representative Body, said: “It’s a big step forward for RBH to offer a Freephone number for tenants. This shows that RBH are listening to the issues raised by tenants. Most mobile contracts these days provide free landline calls so hopefully this will also alleviate the problem mobile phone users were incurring in costs”.
