Hamer Community Primary School

Date published: 08 March 2013

The Rochdale Music Festival starts in earnest for us next week with both Mrs Smith’s and Mrs Connolly’s Classes performing at the Town Hall. We will keep you posted and look forward to sharing our successes with you all.

It was great to see so many of you here again this week for the Mother’s Day drop in activities. Please do make sure you come along every week. We look forward to seeing you again next Thursday Coffee Morning.

Parents with children in the Foundation Unit are invited to come along to our open evening/drop in session next Thursday 14 March 2013 from 3.15pm. This is an opportunity to have a look at your child’s work and evidence of learning files, talk to the staff and have a look around the learning environment. It is also a great opportunity for us to get your feedback of what you think we are doing well and how we can make your child’s learning experience even better. We look forward to seeing you all next Thursday.

If you have any empty ‘squirty’ or trigger’ plastic bottles that you no longer require, the Foundation Unit will be pleased to find a good home for them.

Thank you to all who have supported us in ensuring your child has the correct PE kit every week. The School PE Kit consists of a plain white t-shirt and black leggings, tracksuit bottoms or shorts. Please ensure that your child has the correct kit with them to ensure they are able to take part in PE.

Thank you to all who continue to support both your child and the school with both Class and Celebration assemblies. The children are so proud when a family member or friend comes along to share in their success and it is great to celebrate as a school community.

Although it is only March, places for our Nursery for September 2013 are going fast! If you or a family member/friend has a child who will be 3 on or before the 1 September 2013, please come into school for a nursery application form to secure your place.
