Nursery outdoor play area

We would like to develop our outdoor play area and would like donations of wooden pallets, milk crates, tyres and full clean bricks.

Please ensure that any items donated are clean, safe, and unbroken.

St. Joseph’s Penny

Calling it “the Magic Penny,” Head Teacher Mr Morgan is leading the challenge in order to fundraise for the St Joseph’s Penny Collection. Each week at assembly, he pulls out one or two names from a hat. He then gives the class a fiver and asked them to double it or better.

Each class can raise money however they wish, and as you can expect, there is a touch of competition in the air! One class has hosted a bake sale with their fiver and another has made and sold wristbands.

The school also sings along to the Magic Penny, a song written by folk artist Malvina Reynolds.

Each £5 donated to the St Joseph’s Penny helps to give a homeless mother and her young child a place to call home each night, with the safety and security that come with that.

Class 1 turned their £5 into £35 by selling bookmarks this week.

FAST club

Last week the FAST club hubs each held their own special presentation or demonstrations that included a fire safety talk; hand massages; henna (mehndi) hand painting and a nutritionist.
