The Handbell Percussion Group are performing on Saturday at the Music Service Highwood. Good luck to the children who have formed a new group alongside Miss Burrows.

Year 5 Choral Speakers won their class with a fantastic performance of Cinderella, they were awarded first place and a Highly Commended certificate. The children had a brilliant day and on the way to the festival impressed a member of the public with their excellent behaviour on public transport enough to merit a phone call to school. Thank you.

Well done to the following pupils who received the achievement award last week:

Reception Lola Proctor
Year 1 Charlie Oddy
Year 2 Leia Watson
Year 3 Imogen Zallmann
Year 4 Jamie Watts
Year 5 Kelly Hancock
Year 6 Cobey Barrow

The best-kept cloakroom is still year 5& 6.

The Big Pedal is now underway, but we are not doing very well – we are in 129th place! Come on! We can do better now that the weather is improving and we are hoping to start the lunchtime bike club again. Make the most of the spring days!

Next week, there is a meeting at 5pm for the parents of children in Years 5 & 6 who are going to Robinwood. The choir are taking part in the Rochdale Festival in the afternoon of the 14 March at the Town Hall in Rochdale. Parents are encouraged to come along and watch and all parents are asked to make arrangements for their child to be collected from the Town Hall, probably around 4 o’clock – we are unable to give an exact time for finishing.

We will be selling Red Noses for Comic Relief Day from Monday onwards, the noses are £1 with all profit going to Comic Relief. We will add the money from the Book Bring & Buy to everything raised on Red Nose Day which will be another non-uniform day when children wear red should they choose to join in.
