Hindu community Pooja Service
On Sunday 3 March,2013, the Hindu community in Rochdale organised their Pooja Service in St Aidan's Church.
They invited Ghulam Rasul Shahzad OBE as their guest and observer of their pooja. He was very warmley received.
Mr Shahzad was born in India before partition and his parents migrated to Pakistan after it came into existence on 14 August 1947.
There were more than 50 Hindus including men,women and children who performed their Pooja Service.
The Management Committee discussed about their organisation, membership, registration of their Association as a charity and acquiring a building for the Hindu Temple as there is none at the moment.
The Hindu community is very keen to see their Temple in Rochdale.
