Well done to Angela Soares, Binyamin Amin and Lauren Harden in year 7 who successfully completed the ‘Art Takeaway!’ Kit Project. Each of the learner undertook an independent learning task over the holiday and video and photo blogged their progress. Each of the three children completed the task and earned a certificate and chocolate prize.

Many thanks to all the parents and families who attended our Year 7 and 8 Parent’s Evening this week. If you have any more queries or concerns, please don’t hesitate to contact school and arrange further appointments with us. Alternatively, communication can be made to your child’s Form Tutor via our Learner Diaries.

We welcome Oldham College into school this week as they work with our Year 9 and 10 BTEC Drama students on a Theatre-in-Education performance and showcase. Learners will be involved in setting up the performance space, watching a short performance by the college students and participating in a series of workshops. Many thanks to the staff of the college for their help and support.

Year 7 Music learners worked with the Halle Orchestra this week in helping create a musical composition. The project will lead to a visit to see the orchestra at Bridgewater Hall next week, a rescheduled event due to poor weather. Later in the year, we shall see a showcase concert involving different groups and the Halle players at FPHS. For more details, contact Ms Williams or Mr Jackson.

There is still time to enter the ‘I Love Dance’ Competition. The competition is open to all years and entry forms are available from the CEPA Office at breaktimes or lunchtimes. The closing date is end of school on the 8th of March.

Spiral Dance Company have been working with a group of Bollywood Dancers on a special project over the past few weeks. We hope that the project will continue in the next few weeks. Please see Ms Wystawnoha if you have a problem and are unable to attend.
