The Rochdale Music Festival starts next week, woodwind and dance groups are performing at the Riverside in Whitworth on Monday, Year 5 choral speaking is also at The Riverside and will take place on Tuesday.

We are trying to reduce transport costs this year so please make note of the arrangements – public transport will be used wherever possible. Thursday is World Book Day so we will celebrate this on Friday 8 March.

The Rights Respecting Team are planning a ‘Book Bring & Buy Sale’. Please can you look through all your books at home and donate any unwanted books that are in good order.

On Friday the children will be invited to ‘Come as a character from a book’ anything goes, and we would like as many ‘Where’s Wally’ characters as we can!

The week finishes with Miss Burrows’ hand-bell group who are performing their festival entry at Rochdale Music Service on Saturday.

Parents Evenings are being held Tuesday and Wednesday of next week, 5 and 6 March. All children should have brought home a letter and this has also been sent out via email. Parents of Foundation and Key Stage 1 children are asked to put their names on the list on display outside the Infant door, parents of Key Stage 2 children need to return the letter to request times and dates. Times are already filling up quickly so please return your letter as soon as possible. The appointment times are for 5 minutes, if you think that you need further time an alternative time and date will be arranged. This is to ensure the evening runs smoothly and avoids lengthy waiting.

Well done to the children who were presented with the Achievement Award on the Friday before half-term.
