Borough’s lottery windfall

Rochdale received more than £1.1 million in National Lottery grants last year.

51 grants were awarded across the borough, including £295,870 to Age Concern Metro Rochdale, £198,691 to Rochdale Boroughwide User Forum, £121,600 to M6 Theatre Company, £50,000 to Heywood Cricket Club and £40,200 to Rochdale Bangladeshi Partnership Project.

Age Concern Metro Rochdale
Grant from the Big Lottery Fund
A new project that will establish a programme of community support for older people in Rochdale who are poor and isolated to improve their health, well-being and independence. Practical coordinated support will be provided that will include access to join.

Rochdale Boroughwide User Forum
Grant from the Big Lottery Fund
This continuation and development of existing work will deliver a number of different strands of work to beneficiaries with mental health issues in Rochdale. The group will expand its current monthly open forum provision and supplement it with two new services.
