St Cuthbert's RC Busines & Enterprise College

Our chosen Lenten Charity is St Joseph’s Penny and boxes will be distributed through RE lessons. Year 7 will be launching their Lenten charity fundraising events after half term. All pupils will take part in a sponsored “Big fun run” during their PE lesson. The year 7 centre is also usually a busy hive of activity with cake sales, raffles, name the teddy etc all taking place at break and lunchtime. All money raised will be donated to Francis House children’s hospice; please do your best to support our appeal.

Ashes were distributed during RE lessons on Ash Wednesday and were made available to Year 7 students before school. Staff also received Ashes in the Chapel before school.
"You have to be in to win" - Well done to Mr Sidlow and form 7.3 whose weekly attendance was 98.2 %. Congratulations also to Shay Reynolds, form 7.6, our weekly attendance challenge winner.

This week’s theme was Good Work and Charities. Our Enterprise capability was Change and Year Seven’s focus this half term in Independent Learning.

This week, during Language Week, pupils took part in many different activities, including a competition to re-write the final chapter of the first Harry Potter story. Also, teachers helped raise money for charity with a continental coffee morning.

We hope all our students enjoy a restful half term and return refreshed on Monday 25 February.
