Rochdale Sci-Fi Convention
Friday 22 & Saturday 23 February at 11am-4pm at Rochdale’s Wheatsheaf Shopping Centre. Red Dwarf; Star Wars; Doctor Who; Iron-man & friends; Thunderbirds, etc. There is a competition to design your own sci-fi character. There are fantastic prizes for the winner plus three runner-up prizes plus the winner will receive £250 for their school towards science equipment. If you want to enter, please pick up an entry form from the school office. Closing date is 18 February.

Parents Evening
Parents evening is next Tuesday 12 February – 2.30-5.30pm.

Soccer Academy
S7 Multisports Academy will be holding a Fun Multisports Course at St Edwards Primary School in Rochdale during the upcoming February Holidays.
The event is open to boys and girls aged 4-12 and will run from 10am-3pm Monday 18 to Friday 22 February 2013.
During the course children will take part in Fun Challenges / Competitions / Tournaments & Team Games in various sports including Football, Dodgeball, Cricket, Handball & Athletics.
All participants will receive a Certificate & Key ring. The cost is £7.50 per day or £35 for the full week.
There are three booking methods:

Class Assemblies
This year we are inviting you to share your child’s class assembly. Assemblies will take approx 15mins.

Dates for this half term:
Tuesday 12 February 9.15am – 3L
Tuesday 12 February 1.15pm – RP

Sainsbury Vouchers
We are now collecting these vouchers.

Italian Themed Menu
Next Thursday 14th February, the kitchen are having an Italian Day. The menu is on the back of this newsletter. If your child does not normally have lunch but wants to try the Italian Day, please fill in the slip on the back of the newsletter and send it back together with payment of £1.85.

Dinner Money
Dinners are now £1.85 per day - £9.25 per week.
Money envelopes are on sale from the school office for £1.50.
Next week we will be on Week 2 menu.

Story Sacs - Reception
Story Sacs are on a Tuesday afternoon for Reception children and parents. We will be having it as a drop-in session any time between 2.30pm and 3.05pm.

Music Lessons
Fees for this half term are now due - £14.25. Please pay these and any outstanding fees into school as soon as possible in order to continue with lessons. Thank you.
