The Chairman of the Action for Pakistan, International, Mr.Ghulam Rasul Shahzad OBE JP, said that the Pakistani and Kashmiri communities in and around Rochdale have benefited from the regular monthly NADRA surgeries in Rochdale for the last three years.
These surgeries have helped thousands of Pakistanis and Kashmiris in applying for NICOP cards at their doorsteps saving a lot of time in travelling to and from Manchester. These applicants include women with small children, elders, people with diabetes and other illnesses who find it very hard to attend the office.
Mr Shazad sais: "We are extremely thankful to Umer Riaz, manager, NADRA (National Data Regulatory Authority) and his team for dealing with applications for National Identity Cards for Overseas Pakistanis (NICOP). We achieved our target of 90 applications.
"It has been three years since we started these regular monthly surgeries. A great commitment to serve the Pakistani and Kashmiri community. A great service to the community including women with children, older people, people who are diabetes and suffering from other illnesses. We wish these surgeries are extended to other towns and cities to enable other people to benefit as well.
"We also hope that the issue Digital Passports from Manchester, Bradford, Birmingham and Glasgow will start soon!
"Well done NADRA Team and sincere thanks to you all for this excellent service."
