Professor Brian Cox lectures Rochdale students

Date published: 05 February 2013

A group of science students from Rochdale Sixth Form College were lucky enough to meet and discuss topics such as the Big Bang theory with the legendary Wonders of the Universe star Professor Brian Cox.

The students travelled down to the impressive O2 arena (formerly the Millenium Dome) in London where they took part in an Inspirational seminar hosted by iconic science figures Prof. Brian Cox, Steve Mould and Simon Watt. They were then able to explore London’s Science Museum as well as have their photos taken with them.

Tom Fay, Biology teacher and Assistant Principal at Rochdale Sixth Form College said: “This really was a fantastic opportunity for each and every one of the 25 students and I’m sure it will be an experience they will never forget. The students were so inspired by these leading figures in science and it was fantastic to see. There were non stop questions after the seminar which I’m sure will continue throughout the term.”
