Hamer Community Primary School

Date published: 01 February 2013

This week, a number of our Year 5 children have taken part in the ‘Bikeability’ training. They have all successfully completed the sessions and we have had some great feedback from the trainers about their attitudes, behaviour and ability to follow instructions . The Group have also been awarded the Citizens of the week for the week ending 1 February 2013. Well done to all children in the group.

Please note that the Parents Zumba Dance Classes on a Monday morning are cancelled until further notice thank you.

We would like to say thank you for supporting us with our new PE Kits. This consists of a plain white t-shirt or polo shirt and plain black shorts or track suit bottoms. The children all look very smart! Thank you.

We currently have one vacancy for a Parent Governor for School. Nomination Forms will be sent out before half term. Should any more information be required please do not hesitate to contact Miss Shepherd.

It is great to see so many of you here in school on a Thursday and Friday for Class and Celebration assemblies. Thank you to the children in Reception (Mrs Crowe and Miss Ahmad) for sharing their work all about animals with us on Thursday and well done to our ‘Stars of the Week’ and attendance winners. We are all very proud of the achievements.

It is coming to the end of another half term and so lunchtime staff will be nominating children for the lunchtime recognition award again this week. The winners (one per class) will be enjoying their lunch out at Pizza Hut next Friday 8 February. Don’t forget to remind your child that is could be them!
