Child hit by car

At approximately 5.00pm today (Tuesday 15 January) a 12-year-old boy was hit by a silver coloured Alfa Romeo saloon car travelling in the direction of Wood Street on Eastway in Middleton.
Witnesses say he was using the crossing directly outside Aldi on Eastway.
The boy was taken to hospital by ambulance suffering from minor injuries.
