Temporary Closure Of Hare Street, Rochdale From 11 To 13 January, 2013
Date published: 11 January 2013
As part of the construction of the Park and Ride facility, the contractor, North Midland Construction, will resurface the pedestrian footpaths along both sides of Hare Street from the junction of Sarah Street up to the junction of Richard Street/Lincoln Street.
The resurfacing of the footpaths will take place from 11 to 13 January 2013 and will require a temporary closure of Hare Street. During this period, no vehicles will be able to access or park on Hare Street. Alternative vehicle routes will be via Sarah Street, Miall Street and Richard/Lincoln Street.
Businesses will be able to access their properties. This closure has been agreed by Rochdale Metropolitan Borough Council.
In addition to the resurfacing work, a brief closure of the junction of Miall Street and Richard Street will then be required on 13 January 2013 to allow for a cable duct to be installed. Alternative vehicle routes will be available via Sarah Street, Hare Street and Richard/Lincoln Street. Access will still be provided for local businesses.
