Welcome back to all our staff and students after the Christmas break. We hope you had an enjoyable and relaxing break and that all students are well-rested and prepared for hard work.

We would like to thank all students, staff and parents who visited and helped out at our very successful Christmas Fair.

We are now able to send emails and text messages to Parents/Carers via the Parentmail system and for Parents/Carers to make payments for dinner money and school events. If you have not yet signed up for Parentmail, please contact the school office.

All our sports teams are back in training and are looking forward to their first matches of 2013. We will put information on sports teams’ fixtures in future columns.

Parents and carers of Year 8 students please note that Options Evening takes place for your child on Thursday 31 January between 6.00pm and 8.00pm. This is where you and your child have the opportunity to find out about the exciting opportunities available to them in Years 9, 10 and 11 and the subject choices they can make.

A reminder to parents and carers of Year 9 students that Progress Review Day takes place on Thursday 17 January. This will provide you with an opportunity to discuss your child’s progress with their form tutor. Please check your child’s appointment time. We look forward to seeing you on the day.
