Police appeal for help to find missing Daniel Warburton

Date published: 30 December 2012

Concern is continuing to grow for a 28-year-old man who was last seen on Friday 28 December 2012.

Daniel Warburton is a resident at Birch Hill secure hospital on Union Road in Littleborough.

He went missing on a day trip to Gordon Riggs Garden Centre in Rochdale and was last seen at 11am.

Since he went missing neither his family nor police has heard from him. His family are fraught with worry.

Daniel was last seen in the Brinnington area of Stockport, but he also has links to Wigan and other parts of Greater Manchester.

Detective Sergeant Jay Beeken from Stockport CID, said: “Since our last appeal we have worked round-the-clock to locate Daniel and we share his family’s growing concern.

“He was last seen in Stockport, but could have travelled anywhere across Greater Manchester and we need your help to find him.

“Daniel suffers from mental health conditions and he does not have his medication with him.

“He has a history of violence towards himself, members of the public and the police.

“I would advise members of the public not to approach him and to contact us with any information.

"Daniel’s family now just want to hear that he is OK. I would say to Daniel, please, if you are reading this then get in touch.

“I also would appeal to anyone who knows of Daniel’s whereabouts to get in touch as soon as possible.”

Anyone with information is asked to call Greater Manchester Police on 101.
