Hamer Community Primary School

Mrs Terry’s class Year 6 were the overall attendance winners for Autumn 2 and on Thursday 20 December they went along to the cinema at Sandbrook Park to enjoy their reward. . They all really enjoyed the film and Mrs Terry reported that their behaviour was absolutely superb! Well done Mrs Terry’s class!

Citizens of the week are “All the children at Hamer” for being such sensible mature role models during the fire drill. Well done everybody

Thank you so much for supporting us on Thursday and Friday for the Christmas concerts It was brilliant to see so many parents and family. Also thank you to all the staff and of course well done to the stars of the show – our brilliant children at Hamer!

We were pleased to see parents sharing in Year 5 and 6’s exit point on Friday morning and we hope you liked the superb art work. It was also great to see so many of you enthusiastic to share in your child’s success looking through Assertive Mentoring folders.

Thank you for supporting us by sending in a change of clothes for the children’s parties on Friday afternoon. All the children had a brilliant time!
We also had a special surprise visitor – we hope the children enjoy reading their beautiful books

Just a brief reminder - please can the luggage being taken by the Year 5 children to Robinwood be brought into school on the first day back after the holiday for us to hold in school. The residential visit is from Wednesday 9 January to Friday 11 January 2013 inclusive

The Christmas tree from reception has been donated to a hospice in Shaw, Oldham as arranged by F Faye from the GFM staff.

As you know, school closed on Friday 21 December and will re-open on Monday 7 January at 8.50am.
For those of you celebrating Christmas – we wish you a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New year. A happy and peaceful holiday is wished for all.
